We also travel to the site of a mural project she organized and helped create for the Jubilee School with the help of the students and some local residents. Engaging the Structural, the Exhibition

All 13 artists from seven states came out of the normal isolation of the studio to visit New York City and attend a pre-party party at the home and studio of Cecily Kahn. Cecily shows us around her studio and talks a little about her work. Afterwards everyone attended the crowded reception at the Broadway Gallery at 473 Broadway, 7th floor. The show was curated by artist, Julie Karabenick and runs from April 5-30. Although the work is varied, geometry and structure are the thread that ties the work together.

Charlotte Yudis, Printmaker, Part 1 & 2

Charlotte says the use of blood cells in her artwork began with personal health problems years ago. Her interest in science then turned to the skies and stars which she incorporated into her dark, mysterious prints. The interconnectedness of our bodily systems and that of the universe are her current artistic inspiration. In this video we try to follow this moving target around her classroom at Fleisher Art Memorial and at an artist talk at The Center For Emerging Visual Artists in Philadelphia.
